We actually walk the talk.
At Alumia, our mission is to improve your personal health. But at the same time, climate change is an urgent issue that looms over us – the health of our communities, our planet and our future are all at stake.
That’s why we treat sustainability as an unwavering principle. It means sometimes we have to work harder to find sustainable goods from green suppliers. But we believe that it’s always worth it.

Sustainable and ethical harvesting
Like you, we buy products from companies who value sustainability. That’s why we only source ingredients from trusted suppliers who perform sustainable & ethical harvesting practices.
We also strive to limit our global carbon footprint wherever possible. Although a few of our ingredients are from native origins (like our Korean Panax Ginseng), the vast majority originate from American farms & landscapes.

Biodegradable plant-based film
Your daily vitamin packs are made of biodegradable plant-based film. Natural wood fragments are collected, pulped and turned into the transparent cellulose film that holds your vitamins.
Biodegradable packs are the eco-friendly evolution of traditional vitamin bottles. They save local landfills from leftover bottles made of thick non-biodegradable plastic.
Certified Eco-Friendly Packaging
Our paper & cardboard packaging is made using vegetable-based ink and traceable FSC-certified (Forest Stewardship Council®) fiber. Our manufacturing facility is EcoLogo®-certified and Rainforest Alliance®-certified.

100% clean + 100% recyclable
Our manufacturing facility is EcoLogo®-certified and runs on 100% clean, emissions-free energy like wind and low-impact water power. EcoLogo is North America’s most respected certification for environmental leadership and standards.
Aside from your biodegradable vitamin packs, all your packaging is 100% recyclable. We proudly engage in community recycling programs, global reforestation efforts and pollution prevention initiatives.

Ink from vegetables, not chemicals
The ink printed on our paper & cardboard is vegetable-based, not petroleum-based. The latter releases high amounts of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) into our atmosphere which causes smog.
Our vegetable-based ink emits a negligible amount of VOCs. It also aids in the recycling process by breaking down easier. Overall, our printing process is chemical-free, with nothing harmful going down the drain or into the air.
